Judges of the award said the Marine Export Partnership "offered a highly professional and informative service to UK industry".

"This award is excellent recognition of the achievements of the Marine Export Partnership in developing export skills and promoting best practice within the whole of the marine sector, " said Peter Methven of Latitude 52, a forum member of the Marine Export Partnership.

The Marine Export Partnership is a partnership between the British Marine Federation, the Society of Maritime Industries and the Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers Association with backing from Trade Partners UK; it is managed by the BMF Export Department.

In just two and a half years the MEP has achieved some key objectives in promoting the British marine industry around the world with the launch of its multilingual website, two editions of its directory, an export training programme, industry briefings and an exporters handbook.
