Under the agreement, Shakespeare will build a series of marine antenna products for VHF, AM/FM and cellular telephone applications.

The products, which include .91, 1.52 and 1.82m antennas and a variety of powerboat mounts, will be available through Communication Aerials' distributors.

Tim Christie, managing director of Communication Aerials, said: "The story is a simple one, but one that our customers will appreciate.

Shakespeare makes more fibreglass antennas than anyone else in the world and their expertise is unsurpassed. We make brilliant sailboat antennas and have a wide range of other specialised marine antennas. It's a winning combination."

At the same time, Shakespeare will move its warehouse operations from Holland to Communication Aerials' Wiltshire facility.

Under the new arrangement, fulfilment and shipment of products from the new UK location will be handled by Communication Aerials.

Don Henry, director of Shakespeare's Marine Products Group, said: "Customer satisfaction is high on our priority list. The new UK warehouse will enhance the quality of service to our European distributors who depend on prompt and reliable shipment."
