Silva's Batterysaver Powerpak - shown here - is a multifunctional portable power centre. Silva says it can recharge up to four AA rechargeable batteries, charge 12V mobile telephone and computer power cells, and power various small electronics, such as portable radios and Walkmans.
It will also trickle charge car and boat batteries. A built-in diode provides reverse current protection in poor light conditions. The tilting solar panel maximizes solar exposure and is housed in a lightweight and weather resistant casing.
The built in diode prevents battery discharge at during discharge. The Batterysaver AA retails at £19.95 inc VAT.
