K-Grip anti-slip

K-Grip is applied direct to decks and flooring as a paste and smoothed to a flat finish between two parallel lengths of 1 mm thickness K-Tape.
Using a heat gun accelerates the curing process, says the company.
Ocean Safety says the result is a versatile, durable and flexible non-slip strip. The company says with the correct preparation, K-Grip can be used on the vast majority of surfaces and is easy to repair by simply re-applying if a surface should become damaged.
K-Grip is suitable for a wide range of applications and has approvals from a variety of agencies covering areas as diverse as disability regulations and food preparation.
In the marine environment K-Grip is currently undergoing tests with a range of organisations including Global Marine and Disney Cruises.
The US Navy is reportedly extremely pleased with the results of its own trials and Royal Caribbean Cruises has already used the product in its liner Majesty of the Seas , and is intending to use it in another vessel, the Monarch .
