Missed gun on an ISAF star t? No problem

Musto has added a stainless steel competition watch to its range and promises easy starting, even with a missed gun under the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) system.

Designed specifically for the racing sailor, Musto says the watch has enough style to attract favourable comment from a leading French yachting magazine which says (and they quote): '. . . it looks as perfectly at home worn with a blazer in the yacht club as under an oilskin at the start of the Fastnet.'

Musto says the watch has two exclusive features. The first is a choice of 5-4-3 or 1 minute intervals, or a 5-4-1-0 countdown in line with the ISAF start procedure.

And if you miss the first gun, say Musto, it's no problem. The second unique feature is a synchronisation facility, which will bring the watch up to real time for that perfect start.

As with Musto's latest clothing and shoe ranges, the competition watch is being used by Peter Harrison's GBR Challenge crewmen and it receives a glowing testimonial from GBR bowman and current Etchells world champion, Nik Pearson.

The watch has a heavy duty stainless steel case with screw back. The face has large 10mm numerals and an electro luminescent display.

The countdown can be selected in multiple combinations of one minute and the stopwatch automatically displays elapsed time from zero once countdown is complete.

Standard day/date, alarm and 12/24 hour functions are included.
