Straight torque cuts feedback steering

Open the throttle on an outboard and the torque tries to steer the boat. With no correction device, an outboard powered boat will run in circles if the driver goes over the side with no kill cord attached.

Had the Arimar RIB involved in the Southampton Boat Show death had a steering correction device, the boat would have run in a straight line and not circled to cause its havoc.

The TeleflexMorse NFB (no feedback) is a steering system designed to suit most sizes of outboard engines up to V6.

Easy to install, says TeleflexMorse, the NFB Steering System locks out engine feedback when the boat is travelling in a straight line.

This makes it virtually effortless to keep the boat on course, they say.

Once the driver begins to turn the wheel, the NFB System's patented clutch mechanism disengages automatically as the wheel is turned. At the end of the course change, the clutch automatically re-engages.

TeleflexMorse's UK distributor, Aqua Marine, in conjunction around 100 participating dealers nationwide, is offering a 20% discount on the TeleflexMorse NFB 4.2 range.
