    Mercury Racing is introducing the Pro Max 225X consumer outboard engine, incorporating Mercury's latest propulsion technology. Its all-new 2.5-litre powerhead is complemented by the SmartCraft PCM555 controller area network (CAN) electronic control system. The horsepower available from this V6 is 225hp (168kW).

    Blakes Lavac Taylors, the Warsash-based manufacturers of the Taylors range of gas and paraffin marine cookers, has highlighted the fact that apart from designing and manufacturing cookers, it refurbishes old cookers too.

    Datek UK in Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire has launched a range of battery chargers for boats.

    Suzuki Marine is introducing five Suzumar inflatable boat packages powered by the new Suzuki 4hp or 5hp fourstrokes.

    Following what have been described as "lengthy negotiations" Franton Ltd, a British company, was announced as the new owner of Fletcher, the boatbuilder that went into administrative receivership on January 3rd.
