English Braids appoints new distributor

Peter Earp, Managing Director of English Braids, said of the deal: "We have enjoyed thirteen years working successfully with Simpson Lawrence but following their demise we are delighted to team up with Marathon. They have made outstanding progress in the leisure marine market since Tim Millinder began the company in 1992".
"Our sales team at English Braids will maintain a close working relationship with both the customers and Marathon so we are expecting a smooth transition working with our new distributor in this ever changing marine industry, " Marathon Leisure now has a six-strong sales team with several well known faces who were previously with SowesterSimpson Lawrence.
Bob Suggett heads the sales in the South West area and Martin Bridger is working closely with the OEM's whilst Alex Alley covers the South and South East and Robert Smith the North.
The English Braids yachting ropes range is the latest addition to the Marathon stable of products which features well known marine industry names such as Spinlock, Whale Pumps and Glomex.
