New dinghy trailers available in kit form

A new type of dinghy trailer, known as MultiCraft, offer many advantages to dinghy users, it is claimed.

MultiCraft trailers come in a combination of Delta Frame or T Frame launchers, and/or Road Base or Road Trailer. They are supplied either flat-packed inside a number of boxes or can be assembled by a dealer. They are delivered complete with instructions - including a spanner for assembly.

MultiCraft can be delivered in only two boxes for a launcher, three for a Road Base or Road Trailer and five for a Combination Launcher Road Base.

Design Engineers from both Dixon-Bate and Rapide Trailers developed the MultiCraft range, following extensive market research, identifying the need for dinghy trailers that are competitively priced, with faster delivery times and easier to store when not in use.

All components are galvanised for long term protection and built to ISO 9001. The launchers are adjustable for length and include the option of either adjustable rear hull supports or gunwale-hung supports to fit a very wide range of dinghies.

The Road Base/Trailer is adjustable for width as well as length to ensure compatibility with the new MultiCraft range of launchers and current or previous versions of Rapide launchers.

The trailers are produced using CNC machining and robotic welding systems to meet strict manufacturing tolerances, and the inclusion of high tensile steel bolts and Nyloc nuts ensures all adjustable components are fixed securely and safely. The development of the 'SnugFit' nylon bearing system provides smooth rattle free towing, and the units are quickly stowed or even dismantled for storage.

Rapide Trailers is part of Dixon-Bate Ltd, who acquired the interests of Rapide Trailers in December 2000.
