Free offer on boat and HIN plates
01 Nov 2002
Norman Darby is so certain boatbuilders will find his Boat Plates and HIN plates cheaper, faster to place in the mould, easier for administration and RCD compliant that he's offering both free of charge for six months.
Through his company GRP Labels, Darby has been supplying Boat Plate and HINs to manufacturers of GRP boats since the RCD came into effect in June 1998.
Benefits of the Darby system include no more duplication of HINs - the builder simply takes the next capsule in the sequentially numbered strip.
The builder just peels it off and sticks in the mould and, for the hidden HIN, just peel off and place on the wet mat.
Darby says his offer would enable builders to run his free system alongside their present labelling system and tells builders to fax their details to GRP Labels 01275 870128 or Email them to ndarby@tesco.net
