Versatility is the principle, says EchoPilot

After several years specialising in leading edge technology, including real time forward sonar and ultra sonic logs, Ringwood, Hampshire, based EchoPilot is launching a new range of simple, stand alone instruments.

The new Bronze+ range offers dot matrix screens, instead of 7 segment displays, history of depth, speed, etc, three GPS repeater screens showing lat and long;

COG & SOG, etc, or a waypoint steering guide.

EchoPilot says the depth is uniquely multi-frequency and can be used with most existing transducers, from 27KHz to 250KHz. The log can be used with most existing paddle wheels.

The company claims the displays - specially made for EchoPilot - have probably the best contrast and viewing angle of any LCD used in the industry. An added plus is the displays can be seen through Ray Ban sunglasses.

EchoPilot says the instruments are not the cheapest, but as the company is giving away a free GPS repeater software suite with each instrument, they reckon they are the best value at around £240 per instrument inc VAT.
