BW has purchased three new Dutch built Pedro 32ft -35ft cruisers at the centre that are available for shorter term hire, aimed at giving potential boat buyers and canal users a taste of the joys of inland boating.

Plans are also under way to establish a brokerage and secondhand boat sales outlet at the Falkirk Wheel, which will further widen the options available for new waterway users.

All this determined approach should kick-start commercial activity sooner rather than later.
