Norfolk show set for May 10/11

County Exhibitions Limited, headed by the former editor of Sailing & Boating News , and a yachtsman, says that while some marine leisure industry companies based in Norfolk attend the London Boat Show in January of each year and the Southampton Boat Show in September, not enough is done to promote the sailing and boating activities.
"The coastline of East Anglia and the inland waterways of the Norfolk Broads offer the boat user an excellent opportunity to enjoy the sport of 'messing about in boats', yet little is done to collectively promote the leisure marine industry within and across the county, " says Graham Kinnersley, the managing director of County Exhibitions Limited.
Concentrating on inviting boat builders of affordable entry-level sailing dinghies up to small yacht and cabin cruisers to take part, the Norfolk Boat & Marine Equipment Show will also give manufacturers and suppliers of marine leisure equipment an opportunity to sell direct to the visiting public.
In addition to a range of small boats, including RIBS, and equipment, there will be an engine section exhibiting inboard and outboard motors, navigation equipment marine paints and protective clothing.
The timing of the show coincides with the launching of the new Norfolk Afloat magazine published by Archant Newspapers with news and articles on sailing and boating throughout the county.
