BW hosts world canals conference

"The development of Scotland's Lowland waterways offer an excellent agenda for the conference, providing fruitful links for future international working, " said Jim Stirling, director of BW Scotland.
The conference offers a mix of plenary sessions, workshops, keynote speakers and site visits, including a trip to the Falkirk Wheel.
"The event will act as a catalyst for broader regeneration and development strategy and will enable delegates to showcase examples of shared best practice for the future, " said conference organiser, Catherine Cain.
The event will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre between September 26 and 26, 2003.
Tickets cost £300 plus VAT and delegates have, says BW, already signed up from Ireland, Canada, USA and France.
