Halyard turnover hits £3.8m
01 Aug 2003
"The 36% sales growth is a result of Halyard's continued strength in the UK and our export marine market sales and is allied to recent corporate acquisitions, " said managing director, James Grazebrook.
Headquartered in Salisbury, with manufacturing operations in Wimborne and Portsmouth, Halyard bought Sabre Fabrications in April 2002 and, four months ago, Cerambond.
Sabre was renamed Halyard Fabrications and now manufactures the stainless sections of Halyard's exhaust systems.
Cerambond manufactures exhaust hose and silicon exhaust products.
Halyard now claims to be the only company in the world to manufacture entire marine exhaust systems in-house, handling bespoke systems for engines up to 2000hp.
According to Grazebrook, around 50% of the growth can be put down to acquisitions, with the remainder coming from sales.
"We 've seen a huge increase in MoD business for Harbour Authority projects, " he told BB .
