Wax gives more grip

Endeavour White Wax is a natural product developed for walk-on timber products, such as teak decks.

Developed by the Australian Organoil Company and imported into the UK by Aladdin's Cave under its Natural Marine trading name, White Wax has undergone extensive testing and exposure trials for more than five years.

The primary constituent is beeswax, which is exposed to strong sunlight for a year to bleach it naturally. This means it won't suffer secondary exposure once applied to timber.

Citrus oil is then added to make the wax into a fine soft cream so it can be spread evenly.

Boron Mineral Salts act as a fungicide and also help to raise the melting point of the wax.

White Wax can be applied by hand or brush after Endeavour Priming Oil has been used to seal the timber. The wax then forms a clear protective, 1mm membrane over the timber surface.

After a few minutes, it can be buffed with a soft scourer, then the timber has to be hosed down to prevent spot water marking and help the wax to set hard.

One 500ml tub can treat up to 20 square metres of timber and costs £29.99.
