01 Feb 2003
The new building covers 5.12 acres and in addition to the Rustler Yachts facility incorporates boat storage for the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, boat lay-up facilities and slipway, a cafe and a parkand-ride scheme for Falmouth.
Over 3000 sq m of the site is dedicated to Rustler's state-of-the-art boatbuilding and extensive refit facilities, catering for all types of vessels up to 45 tonnes and 70 ft in length.
The new building will also house a display area and brokerage, an engineering workshop, a spray booth, mezzanine workshops, extensive office space and a sail loft in addition to the main boat building area.
"Expanding our workshop capabilities allows us to build more of our range of yachts, " says Nick Offord, director of Rustler Yachts.
The company will be teaming up with Port Pendennis Marina to operate the park-and-ride service in the summer and the boat lay-up facility in the winter.
