Musto offers cruising awards

Run in association with Yachting World , the awards are designed to encourage sailors to record and share their cruising experiences.
The judges are Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, Janet Murphy, MD of Adlard Coles Nautical, Andrew Bray, editor of Yachting World , Elaine Bunting, features editor of Yachting World andNigel Musto.
"In recent years, the focus on high profile racing events has tended to eclipse the exploits of equal status undertaken by the expanding community of serious cruising yachtsmen, " says Nigel Musto. The awards will be presented annually with the winner receiving an original watercolour by Alan Simpson RSMA, depicting a significant moment in the cruise, and £1500's worth of Musto foul weather clothing.
Second and third place prizes will be £500 and £250 of Musto clothing respectively.
The awards will be judged on cruises completed during the period 2002-2003. Entries are to be submitted by July 31, 2003.
