RIBEX moves to Gunwharf Quays

RIBEX 2003 will be solely an "on water" show with over 100 boats being displayed on the Gunwharf Quays and all available for demonstration runs in the Solent just a few minutes from the exhibition site.

This show, say the organisers, continues RIBEX's status as the UK's second largest on-water boat show after the Southampton Boat Show.

"The new concept for the RIBEX show will work extremely well at Gunwharf Quays, " said Steve Harvey, events manager for RIB Exhibitions Ltd. "It is an excellent location and I am sure everyone will be impressed by the spectacular show that we will be putting on."

The show adds to the Gunwharf Quays growing list of events. Since its opening in 2001, the £200 million entertainment, shopping and leisure waterfront destination has hosted the finish of the Times Clipper Race, the EDS Atlantic Challenge race with Ellen MacArthur, the MiniTransat qualifying race and, most recently, the finish of the Cutty Sark Tall Ships' race, amongst many other marine events.

RIBEX 2003 runs on May 16, 17 and 18, 2003.
