01 Jan 2003
Volvo Penta has signed an agreement with the Italian powerboat manufacturer, Sessa Marine, for deliveries of approximately 1,000 engines and drive systems over three years.
The total order value amounts to approximately SEK100 million.
The agreement covers the supply of sterndrive versions of Volvo Penta's 2 to 4-litre diesel engines manufactured in Vara, Sweden, including the KAD300 engine, and Volvo Penta's US-manufactured 4 and 5-litre gasoline engines.
Volvo Penta has previously delivered a limited number of engines to Sessa Marine but the new agreement secures significantly higher volumes.
Sessa Marine produces more than 1,000 leisure and commercial boats a year.
