The club already has some experience in the field. A couple of years ago the Laing Group ran a day on the water at the club for some consultants: it proved so popular it's now an annual event.
The club has a fine Victorian waterside clubhouse with a large balcony, sheltered racing water a stone's throw away, and a small fleet of club owned Piper One Designs.
And, with the experience of the Laing events behind it, the club is taking advantage of its unique combination of assets.
The club is now looking to build on this success and bring more activity to the club by attracting other companies and industries who seek "a day out with their clients - with a difference".
