Largs commissions 40 new berths

Largs Yacht Haven recently commissioned 40 new berths, following extensive dredging and piling work taking 10 months and costing £260,000, writes Mike Balmforth .

This brings the total capacity at the Ayrshire marina to 670 berths, however demand is currently so strong that no vacancies have been created.

The new berths were opened by local yachtsman David Clark, who was the yacht haven's first customer in 1985, and who is still a regular sailor at the age of 80.
