Henri-Lloyd opens Carnaby Street outlet
01 Jun 2003
The 3000 sq ft store, designed by international retail designers, Checkland Kindleysides, has been influenced by HenriLloyd's marine heritage, using a range of materials including cherry, elm, rubber and stainless steel, together with items of chandlery and graphics depicting seascape and fashion images.
The shop will have men's and women's fashion collections and a dedicated technical sailing gear department on the first floor, which also includes free Internet access to allow customers to view the latest yachting race news and information.
"As a British brand with strong international exposure the choice of opening our flagship store in London was a natural one, " said Henri-Lloyd joint chief executive, Paul Strzelecki. "A key objective for Henri-Lloyd as we move forward is to ensure that we continue to deepen the consumer's understanding of both our unique heritage and products."
The Carnaby Street store allows all the Henri-Lloyd product ranges to be brought together under one roof to portray the real essence of the brand, he concluded.
