The unit features a 5-inch diagonal, high-resolution, Film SuperTwist (FST) liquid crystal display that gives, says Silva, pinpoint detail and superb visibility in all light conditions, including bright sunlight.
Fully compatible with Navionics electronic charts, the 320 displays 37 different map ranges from 0.05 to 4,000 miles, while the 12-parallel channel GPS receiver provides fast lockons and precise tracking and updates every second.
Silva says the IntelliMap 320 comes with a wide range of advanced features, including GPS alarms, menu driven function selection and a memory capable of storing up to 1,000 waypoints, 1,000 event markers and 100 routes.
Favourite spots can also be marked with the 42 graphic icons available.
Fully compatible with both Multi Media (MMC) and Secure Digital (SD) cards that fit into the waterproof slot on the front of the unit, the reusable cards can be used for the recording of full GPS trip details for subsequent playback, either on the unit or a remote personal computer.
Priced at £529.95 including VAT, the IntelliMap 320 is sealed and completely waterproof, and comes with a two-year guarantee.
