Sebago update Clovehitch

Almost four years after the Clovehitch was launched, Sebago has launched what it says is the next step in performance footwear.

Sebago says the Matinicus evolved on the drawing board from the Down East Collection during the spring of 2002 and was seen as a natural progression from the Clovehitch.

They say it has all the aesthetic and comfort attributes of the Clovehitch, but with more refinement.

The shoe is targeted at men and is a hand sewn dockside of moccasin construction. It has a full-length leather footbed that is latex lined and removable.

The tongue is leather lined and it features Dri-lex quarters to promote breathability.

A full length, shock absorbing footbed is sandwiched between the outsole and upper for added comfort.

The outsole is made from marine grade TPR that gives excellent traction and lateral stability on deck when facing the elements.

Sebago says its ladies' Clovehitch has also evolved into a more aesthetically pleasing, more feminine and more comfortable performance shoe.

It uses the same techniques as the men's Matinicus and the company says it is confident both shoes will adorn the feet of the more discerning and appreciative sea-goers.
