The Skipper is available in two models: 7x50 with illuminated compass and 7x50 without compass. Each model is dry nitrogen pressure filled and, says Steiner, guaranteed internally fog free between - 40infinityC and + 80infinityC.
The company says the binoculars also feature a sports-auto-focus system and high quality CAT optics, both protected by a durable Makrolon housing, making them extremely robust and shock proof.
The binoculars are water pressure proof to 2 m, ensuring no dirt, dust or humidity can penetrate.
Suggested retail price for the 7x50 with compass is £299.99 and £199.99 without compass.
Both models are guaranteed for 10 years.
