New Isuzu engine range
01 Mar 2003
The range of engines start at 25bhp, with a small three cylinder engine and currently extends up to 54bhp, 4cylinder engine, however an increase in the range is likely in the foreseeable future.
After a very successful launch into the inland waterways market Isuzu marine engines, which are keelcooled, are now being installed in three out of the four major hire fleets in this market sector, and due to market reaction to a very successful engine range, Isuzu is initiating the first steps into this different market sector.
The first heat exchanger cooled engine was installed 18 months ago, where they have had two 4L.54, Isuzu marine engines running in a vessel in Salcombe, Devon, which have performed very successfully, along with a number of engines in the Republic of Ireland.
The current range comes complete with a choice of Newage or Hurth gearbox, 70 Amp alternator, engine control panel with four metre interconnecting loom, engine bearers and anti-vibration mounts, with ail engines emission compliant with EPA Tier 2.
HM Isuzu has appointed a number of dealers, including Marine Power Engineering in Norfolk; Watermota in Devon, RK Marine in Southampton and Volspec in Essex. Further dealers are required.
