The company says their versatile design offers the owner the choice of mounting the pod either on a swivel base on the pedestal guardrail - allowing adjustment at any time for an optimum view from the steering position - or securing the unit in a fixed position elsewhere in the cockpit.
The two sizes are designed to accommodate regular 7-inch (18cm) radar screens and the larger 10-inch (25cm) colour version. An option is a light mounted on the reverse of the pod for cockpit illumination.
The radar pods are supplied with full fitting instructions and all the necessary fasteners and Lewmar says they are ideal for retrofitting to existing pedestal installations.
