Fully compliant with IMO GMDSS requirements, McMurdo says the TC2 is the most compact and easy to use area A2 communication system available.
Compact, ergonomically designed and quick to install, the company says the TC2 uses ICS's proven touch screen technology which allows control of both the VHF and MF/HF radios via one common, easy to use control panel.
The TOUCHCOMM TC2 is designed for use within A2 areas by any vessel required to comply with IMO regulations.
But McMurdo says it is also suitable for use in A3 areas by vessels that are not required to fully comply with IMO carriage requirements, such as large yachts, fishing vessels and smaller naval vessels.
For vessels needing to comply with IMO GMDSS area A3 carriage requirements, the basic TC2 package can be expanded to include all the necessary equipment duplication requirements.
