Satellite antenna with powered LNB

Teleco says its Neptune 6000 is a satellite antenna for boats that only six other companies in the world are capable of producing.
According to Teleco, the Neptune signal stability system compensates for rolling and pitching of +/- 25º at speeds of up to 15º/sec, while yaw can be compensated for up to a maximum speed of 9º/sec.
To make tuning easier, the company has made tracking and channel search fully automated via connection to the GPS system.
They say the most difficult problems encountered in developing the Neptune 6000 were the need to stabilise the signal as a boat is moved by wave action, disrupting TV signal reception.
The Neptune system can be controlled via the remote control unit supplied by Teleco or in fully automatic mode using the DiSEqC function, which enables antenna tracking and alignment to be performed automatically.
With a 60cm dish it is possible to receive programmes from the Astra and Hot Bird satellites along almost all European coastlines.
The cylindrical, external part of the antenna is 74 cm high, has a diameter of 74 cm and weighs 30 Kg.
This protective shell is made of a blend of plastics and special polymers that slow down the yellowing caused by the sun's ultraviolet rays and attenuate the damaging effects of seawater salinity.
The entire load-bearing structure and all the mechanical parts of the antenna are subject to constant stress, says Teleco, so they have been made of extremely tough, solid materials.
The continuous tracking movements of the Neptune 6000 come from a set of electric motors, while a series of latest-generation electronic gyroscopes ensure the complete positioning stability needed to provide continuous image streaming free from TV signal loss and continuous Internet data flows.
Teleco says another important signal enhancement feature on the Neptune 6000 is the electric motor installed in the universal LNB: this means that skew movements are executed automatically according to the location of the craft.
