Three new products worth a look

The slip anchor wasdeveloped to solve the problem of main anchor slippage or drag due to heavy weather, strong winds or fast running current.
The slip anchor is fed onto the existing anchor chain, via the access slot along the centre tube. The slip is then lowered to the seabed via the chain with a retrieval, rope attached. The slip then bites in the bottom and the chain locks into position in the centre tube location slots.
The dual action of the main and slip gives, says Gotto, far greater holding power in rough conditions.
To break the anchors out, the slip is simply pulled up the chain and removed. The main anchor can then be broken out and hauled on board as usual.
The slip anchor can also be used as a day anchor by simply fixing a chain or rope through the entire tube and locking.
The Gottometer is a wire, or cable, tension indicator device that displays a different colour, dependent upon the strain applied to it.
Fitted in line with a turnbuckle, the tension of a wire can be set in the normal way by use of the turnbuckle.
The Gottometer is then adjusted to the required colour band by turns of the outer sleeve.
If the Gottometer is fitted to all the stays, it is possible to set them all to the same colour band and therefore easily monitor and maintain the correct tension during sailing.
The third product is a range of turnbuckles designed to be adjusted without using spanners and pliers.
The centre lever mechanism acts as a lock, when in the closed position, and a tensioning lever when pulled out at right angles.
No locking nuts, spanners or screwdrivers are required for set up or adjustment.
The three are being sold under the Force Anchor Marine Design brand name.
