UK designers nominated for superyacht awards

And the winner is . . . we hope one of the quartet of superyacht designers based in the south of England when this year's International Super - yacht Design Awards are made at the Fort Lauderdale boat show at the end of October, writes Iain Sutherland.

Andrew Winch, based in Mortlake, west London, is associated with two of the finalists, as interior designer of Campbell Bay (44.24m) nominated in the Best Power 43 Metres and over and as joint (with Bill Tripp) designer of the 40m Alithia (Best Sail 36 metres plus) for which he is also interior designer and stylist.

John Munford of Southampton did the interior design for Borkumriff IV (50.58m) also in the 36m+ category.

Dubois Naval Architects of Lymington are asso-ciated with two finalists as designer, interior designer and stylist to Salperton a 53m fast cruising ketch and Squall , a 52.3m craft.

Ken Freivokh of Fareham is the interior designer of Saga (33.7m) in the Power 32m-43m category.

All these designers have been part of the awards in past years.
