David Payne has been appointed marine sales manager at Mastervolt UK .Payne joined the company last November after many years with Lewmar and has established strong links with the design and manufacturing teams in The Netherlands. He travels the length and breadth of the UK visiting OEMs and specialist boatbuilders as well as supporting and developing the Mastervolt retail network of Energy Shops.

A keen sailor with RYA yachting and powerboat certificates Payne has a young family and spends much of his own time teaching youngsters to sail.

Kathryn Dalley joins Harken UK with responsibility for the marketing and sales of Harken's clothing and accessories range of products.

Dalley was previously with Team New Zealand as PA to Ross Blackman, the syndicate CEO, and Tony Thomas, executive director of the America's Cup.

Prior to entering the sailing world her background was largely in tertiary education and the marketing of the University and its courses.

While she was working at UNITEC she obtained a degree in International Communication.

She has lived and worked in the UK previously for four years and in Dublin and the USA.

David and Sheila Suchet have been appointed vice presidents of the Inland Waterways Association.

Both are well-known waterways personalities and have done much campaigning for the restoration of the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals.

In addition, David Suchet is one of the UK's leading actors.
