Earls Court bid for ExCeL

As we closed for press on this April issue, we heard that Earls Court, stung by the success of the ExCeL show, had put in a bid for the Docklands facility.
"We intend to take the London Boat Show back to its glory days, " said a spokesman for Earls Court. Among the plans for the 2005 show is the addition of a mezzanine floor. "There won't be much space, " said the spokesman, "and we can't change the existing lift arrangements, but that shouldn't worry those firms used to exhibiting upstairs at Earls Court."
