Dear Mr Nash, As a prominent supplier to the leisure and commercial Marine Safety Market in the UK I was somewhat perturbed to read your frontpage article in June's issue of Boating Business regarding McMurdo beacons. I have delayed my response until I received your next issue, but the matter is still unchanged.

The USCG purchased a FastFind PLB product for use across the service. They did not specify, or request, a GPS product. The FastFind product does precisely what the contract specified:
