Nominations wanted for web awards

boats. com says it has expanded and improved its 2005 marine website awards programme. There will be a new award voted for by the public, as well as support from the British Marine Federation (BMF), which will be supporting the awards ceremony at the Schroders London Boat Show 2005.

Nominations for sites that offer excellence in web communication can be made in one of five categories using the online application form at marinewebawards. com The five categories are: Best OEM/Manufacturer Site; Best Broker/Dealer Site; Best Equipment Site; Best Marine Business/ Company Site and the ybw Consumer Award, for which nominations will open at a later date through ybw. com A Best Overall Marine Site award is also up for grabs, along with 2nd and 3rd place awards being available in all other industry categories.

Companies may enter their own websites, while companies and individuals can nominate any website they feel worthy of appropriate consideration.

Winners get a Tony Castrodesigned trophy, plus an "award-winning site" logo to display on their site.

Entries close on October 29 and the presentations will be made the 2005 Schroders London International Boat Show.
