B&G signs new MD

Richard Acland is the new managing director at electronics firm, B&G. He joins the company from the telecoms industry, where he was in senior management roles for many years.

Acland: continued growth

His most recent project involved the development of mobile communication technologies to create a wireless office environment.

An experienced yachtsman and RYA Offshore Yachtmaster, Acland has enjoyed considerable success racing keelboats in Cowes. He has helmed a J120 in Cowes Week and is planning an IMX40 campaign for Cork Week this year.

"I am particularly encouraged by Simrad's commitment to the B&G brand and to investing in its future, " he said. "B&G was in profit for the last quarter and I am confident that we have the technology and distribution network to ensure that we can look forward to continued growth."
