Companies already confirmed include Avon Inflatables Barrus, Ribtec, Ribeye and Yamaha. Bill Knight, marina manager of Ocean Village, is optimistic that other exhibitors will quickly sign up for on-shore or on-water space.

"We are hoping to attract around 60 exhibitors, " he said.

"We know that the first May Bank Holiday time is a good time for both exhibitors and visitors and Southampton is a known venue for boat shows."

Ocean Village in Southampton has good road and rail access for visitors and exhibitors, has parking for 600 cars and has, says MDL, a dedicated team of personnel with previous experience at holding boat shows.
