Customers will be asked to complete a guarantee card when they buy Micron Extra and will be able to choose from a one or two year option, depending on how much Micron Extra is purchased.

The card needs to be stamped by the chandlery where the product was bought and sent to International Paint for validation.

Micron Extra has been on the market for three years and the formulation hasn't changed.

The price also remains unchanged.

Graham Nickerson, UK sales manager, said there are certain criteria which must be met before claiming against the guarantee and the company retained the right to inspect the boat to ensure the product had been applied according to the recommendations.
