Use the moby world-wide

The Altobridge system allows people to used their personal mobile telephone anywhere on the world's oceans.
The company claims its Aeronautical & Maritime (AM) Gateway Platform will enable mobile phone users to roam from their usual home mobile network onto a ship-based network in the same way that they would if using their mobile phone overseas on a foreign network.
Users will be able to use their own phone, their existing service provider and personal settings, as if they were on land. Calls made at sea will be charged to their normal phone bill.
The platform is designed to operate as a simple plug-andplay solution across an increasing range of leading onboard satellite communications equipment, such as Inmarsat and Globalstar systems.
The system, says Altobridge, not only puts people into the open global wireless communications network, but will also offer charter yacht operators the chance of developing new revenue streams by installing the AM Gateway Platform.
The ship-based network will shut down automatically when entering national territorial waters, ensuring that the system complies with international regulatory conditions, as well as fulfilling regulatory requirements for tracking and ship security alert systems.
The system will also help in the long-range identification and tracking of stolen vessels.
