Jim Stirling and Harry Spencer were awarded OBE and MBE respectively in the recent Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Stirling, pictured here, British Waterways director Scotland, was awarded an OBE (Officer of the order of the British Empire) in recognition of his services to the country's inland waterways.
Spencer, of Spencer Rigging in Cowes, was made a Member of the British Empire for his services to the classic yacht industry locally and worldwide.
"I don't know who nominated me, " said Spencer, who will be 80 next year. "I don't know whether to kiss him or kick him."
