The 500RCX also incorporates motor overload protection and automatic cut-out to stop the anchoring operation if the windlass jams. It's operable with all chain or rope/chain combination rodes and it replaces the solenoids with solid state switching.

Muir says the system is compatible with all brands of windlass and it's housed in an attractive and compact console unit with a large backlit LCD display. All AutoAnchor models have a safety lock to reduce unwanted windlass operation, adjustable red backlighting for easier night operation and electronic diagnostics to provide troubleshooting information.
