New company buys Yeoman from B&G

Robin Cole and John Hatfield have acquired the sole manufacturing and marketing rights to the Yeoman Plotter from B&G. The pair will handle the Yeoman Plotter through a new company set up in April under the name of Precision Electronics.

Cole and Hatfield - pictured above - say the simple attributes of the Yeoman Plotter have been overlooked (or misunderstood) by many boat owners. So they intend to put this right.

Having worked with R&J Electronics and Fox's Marina Electronics, the pair have a combined experience spanning 40 years in marine electronics supply, installation, repair and service to put behind the new company on the banks of the River Stour in Suffolk.

"Some sailors haven't seen the beautiful simplicity of the Yeoman, " said Cole. "It not only automatically reads out your precise GPS position; it also puts this data quickly, easily and precisely where you need it to be - a pencil mark on a paper chart."
