Launched at SLIBS, the company says the system received a warm welcome from skippers, boat builders and electronics specialists alike.
With its open architecture, says the company, one is able to integrate all major third party applications, so all electronic data needed to monitor and control the boat can be displayed on single or multiple marinised screens.
Radar and chart images can be displayed separately or overlaid to provide a single, complete picture, while instruments can be shown in analogue, digital or chart form.
Colours can be customised at the click of a button with screens instantly transforming to night vision or for use in bright sunlight.
The system can be commanded by a hand-held mouse, tracker ball or even via a touch screen, depending on which the user prefers.
According to the people on the one stand at ExCeL, the system is better than Raymarine's H6??. .
The system can handle log, depth, navigational info, position, distance to WP, course over ground, time to waypoint, XTE (cross track error), wind speed/direction, engine instrumentation, CCTV throughout boat, Navtex, GPRS link to portal on one web site for further weather information, chartplotter and radar.
The system is available from £15,000 and can be fitted to new or used boats. The company says each installation can be tailored to each owner's individual requirements, integrating existing and new applications.
