Leak-free alcohol stoves
01 Mar 2004
The heart of the stove is the fuel tank, which holds 1.2 litres of fuel. The tank contains an absorbent material that holds all the fuel safely, preventing spills and leaks even if the tank is turned upside down.
The stoves are made from SIS 2320 stainless steel that is, says Origo, easy to keep clean.
The alcohol fuels - Origonol or Tenol - burn with almost no odour and without any soot deposits.
Origo makes a range of stoves from the simple 1500 single burner to the 6000 stove and oven. The company also makes the Origo 5100 HeatPal, a small, light heater that also doubles as a back up stove.
The company also manufactures combination units with alcohol stove and mains electric oven and electric stoves for 10/230V AC supply.
