C&N back into boatbuilding

Camper and Nicholsons Yachts in Gosport is getting back into boatbuilding with a contract to build three £500,000 42ft powerboats to be delivered in March, April and June, writes Iain Sutherland .
A further £500,000 order is for a pair of 24ft tenders for a Mediterranean based superyacht.
Yard boss Giorgio Bendoni, running the yard for owners Nautor, reckons previous owners Cammel Laird were mistaken in concentrating on repair and maintenance work.
