Green starts on RNLI Tamar class

Having delivered the last of 46 Severn Class lifeboats to the RNLI at the end of December, Green Marine is now working on its first preproduction Tamar class boat, a 28-ton fast slipway lifeboat, writes Iain Sutherland.
Work is already well advanced and the firm has recently won the contract to develop an experimental fast carriage boat due to go into service in 2007.
