UKSA opens up down under

The United Kingdom Sailing Academy (UKSA) has opened an outpost in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia.

Ms Alison Grosse, mayor of Maroochy Shire, officially opened the new centre, called UKSA Australia, on February 18, 2004.
Joining in the celebrations were David Green, a director of UKSA, with Nick Moloney, the Australian professional sailor who has been appointed UKSA Australia ambassador.
Other local dignitaries and VIP's were present, including British deputy consul-general Caroline Saunders and Craig Humphrey, director of state development on the Sunshine Coast.
The Oz connection replaces the UKSO's previous warm weather facility in Barbados.
