Harken to distribute mast steps

Harken says the mast step is made from a special combination nylon/glassfibre that means the step can support a person up to 140kgs. The step also has UV inhibitors for added protection.
They say the materials also allow easy adjustment of the radius at the back of the saddle to the curvature of the mast: just tape a piece of sandpaper to the mast and sand the saddle up and down until it fits.
The step is very light at 165 grams, and has an aerodynamic and snag free profile so sails and lines can't get stuck behind them when they are folded.
The steps are available in white, grey and black. Harken says they also make very handy steps around the rest of the yacht - like access down into lazarettes or up to emergency escape hatches.
