Marine day at Goodwood looks set for success
01 May 2004
Following a British Marine Federation (BMF) mailing to its members, Peters said they had already sent out more than 400 pairs of tickets to BMF members, "which we means that in total we have more than 800 people heading for Goodwood this year".
Peters said there are a few tickets still available - "and there's plenty of time to contact us to request the two free tickets on offer to member companies" - and his target is at least 1000 on the day. "There are just two tables left at £2,500 +VAT and still plenty of interest, " he said.
As with last year's event, race sponsors will be joining the Duke of Richmond for dinner at Goodwood House on the evening of the 19th May.
The racecourse will be accessible from 12.30 on the 20th with the first of the seven races at 14.10 and the last race at 17.30.
Phil Vickery and Andy Gomershall - two of the World Cup Rugby players - have donated a rugby ball to be used in supporting the three selected charities at Goodwood.
"Member companies have applied for tickets from all over the country from as far away as Cornwall and Manchester, " Peters told BB . "We 're looking forward to a wonderful marine day on the Sussex downs and look forward to seeing many individuals and companies at the event."
The latest date for ticket application for BMF member companies is May 14. Contact Pippa Hutchings by email - pip@petersplc.com - or by fax on 01243 511382.
